Collection: Dead Philosophers
Philosophy has always been the most dangerous academic discipline, which is probably why it gets taught in the most defanged way possible. Strip out the subversion and you're left with a bunch of dead guys arguing about chairs. Leave it intact and you've got centuries of people systematically dismantling every comfortable assumption about existence, society, power, and what any of it means.
The philosophers in this collection understood that thinking clearly is a radical act. Some paid for it. Most were ignored until they were safe enough to be put on a syllabus. These are those books.
